Description

The continuous challenge for life sciences and healthcare companies nowadays is about reducing the direct as well as indirect costs through a more efficient development and production process, next to a focus on continuous innovation to safeguard the future.
The implementation throughout the organisation of Process Excellence, including tools & techniques from the Design Excellence, Six Sigma and Lean methodologies was chosen as means to tackle these challenges.
Stanwick has been appointed as a preferred supplier to take care of the roll out of the Process Excellence methodology in Belgium and other European subsidiaries.

Methodology

Training materials, adapted to the different target audiences, were developed in close collaboration with the client. Training sessions were organised throughout all levels of the organisation, ranging from awareness creation for shopfloor workers over expert level trainings for scientist to executive workshops for the management.
The objectives of reducing costs through increasing efficiency, while continuously innovating, were realised by the definition and execution of a diverse project portfolio. Stanwick is actively involved in these projects as a coach, supporting the project leader or project team to ensure a most effective and efficient way to project success.
Action learning, a process, guided by an experienced coach, whereby the project leaders and teams reflect on their own actions and experiences to become more proficient in the Process Excellence methodology was used extensively during the roll out.

Results

The Process Excellence methodology has by now become embedded in the organisation as a way to tackle challenging projects or implement improvements. Several breakthrough projects have been realised, all delivering up to or more than expectations. A return on investment for these projects exceeds easily 20 %.
