"We are currently working on lean manufacturing. One of the domains were we wanted to create involvement of employees in terms of process improvement, was the move of the staff into production site. The supervisor, the method engineer, the planner, the quality responsible,... all of them now have an office in the production site. One of the first things we have introduced is 5S, however we adapted the philosophy to our context. The progress of the teams was follow-up by the CEO himself. We also stimulated teamwork by introducing lean teams. The better the teams functioned, the more freedom they received to organize the work themselves. In this way, we will evolve towards autonomous teams quickly."
